Program Overview

Transforming Future Leaders

The Youth in Agribusiness Acceleration Program (YAAP), This is a one year Funded Program implemented in Iringa funded by USAID under the Feed the Future Tanzania Private Sector Strengthening Project in the three districts of Iringa, Kilolo and Mufindi.
Recruited Over 700 youth in the agriculture value chain.
The program aims to provide youth with access to finance, markets, technical knowledge, and facilitate policy dialogues and policy awareness.
Youth received capacity building on Business formalization, climate smart agriculture, and export rules of region
They also received mentorship, provision of startup kits and attended various business exhibitions.
Four policy bulletins bulletins have been designed as well as conducting seven (7) PPD’S

Through the program, she attended business formalization clinics, where she successfully registered her business. She also gained mentorship, access to finance, and received start-up kits valued at 1,000,000 Tanzanian Shillings."
